In recent decades it has been noticed that the Netherlands is developing as a prominent location among international students. The immigration department publishes statistics every year and according to their surveys, the number of international participants has increased from 76,606 in the year 2017 to 85,955 in the year 2018. In the year 2019, almost 99% of the applications of international students were accepted by the Immigration Department for the Netherlands. Consequently, international students are supposed to pay a visa processing fee of EUR 174, at the time of enrollment. This way the student only has to collect the documents on the date of appointment fixed before.  For an educational period of fewer than 90 days, a Schengen visa is only needed.

You must have a provisional acceptance letter from the University of the Netherlands or the University of Applied Sciences if you are an international student who wishes to apply for a residence permit.

Accepting the Netherlands student visa for an MBA must be completed through a University of Netherlands delivering a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program that should mandatorily be accredited by NVAO or any foreign accreditation agency. Moreover, the university must be registered in the list of the Public Register Of Recognised Sponsors.

If you are an international student then it is necessary for you to provide evidence of a financial condition stating that you can afford your education in the Netherlands along with the accommodation expenses. Every year the minimum required amount of funds is revised by the immigration department for international students. Accordingly, international students are supposed to submit proof of their financial conditions every year with a piece of updated information until the period of their higher education ends.

A declaration form is provided by the University of Netherlands which is the first to be completely filled and signed by international students. There are basically two types of funds required, namely-

  • Tuition fees- it is never constant and varies for different universities.
  • Study Norms – these are the funds required when living expenses, accommodations, meals, textbooks, clothing, etc.

The account should be assigned to the name of the student with a guarantee that the participant can withdraw money of their own will at any time. It could be a single nominee account or a joint account irrespective of the current or savings basis. You must provide the following bank account-related information through a copy of any official document. Be it a bank statement or account statement are a copy of the internet details of the bank account:

  • Date of issue,
  • Personal details,
  • Bank account number,
  • Total balance,
  • Contact details of the bank.

Funding through Scholarships: Netherlands student visa for MBA

As far as the proof of financial stability is concerned international students can also submit official documents of scholarship received from the Government of the Netherlands, a University, or any third-party organization offering scholarships. The following information should be included in the scholarship declaration that you provide:

  • Date of issue,
  • Institutions granting scholarships,
  • Personal details of the student,
  • Start and finish date of the scholarship
  • Amount offered
  • Name of scholarship program (optional)

Proof of language proficiency for Netherlands student visa for MBA

Depending upon the language of conduct of the program that you aspire to study at the University of Netherlands, you must provide evidence of English or Dutch proficiency if you are an international student. Proficiency in the English language can be proved by providing test reports IELTS with a minimum of 6.0 or above scores.
