• Communication Skills: Aside from the client, there are numerous lawyers, construction managers, surveyors, contractors, local government officials, and engineers that an architect will need to liaise with, each with their own interests and issues. It is important to know how to communicate properly with each stakeholder and ensuring everybody’s requirements are met is an important part of the role.
• Legal Knowledge: One of the biggest restrictions that the architect faces in his designs will be the multitude of building codes, regulations, and policies that he has to obey. Thus it will save a lot of time and a lot of design revisions if the architect has basic legal knowledge.
• Team working Skills: Collaboration is an important skill for any profession, thus able to work well with others is an essential component of one’s personality. • For B.Arch.:

1. Candidates must have 50% aggregate marks in board exams and must have completed class 12 with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
2. Many colleges also require students to clear architecture exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NATA.

• For P.G. and Doctoral Degrees:

1. For these courses, candidates must complete their Bachelor in Architecture.
2. Candidates are required to pass P.G. entrance exams like GATE and CEED.
