In Asia, the first writings on architecture can be traced to times of king Early Asian writings on architecture include the Kao Gong Ji of China from the 7th–5th centuries BCE; the Shilpa Shastra’s of ancient India, to the architecture of Sri Lanka and Nepal are all unique and contemporary, which have been heavily influenced by the prominent happenings of that time.

It is important to know how to communicate properly with each stakeholder and ensuring everybody’s requirements are met is an important part of the role.
  • Legal Knowledge: One of the biggest restrictions that the architect faces in his designs will be the multitude of building codes, regulations, and policies that he has to obey. Thus it will save a lot of time and a lot of design revisions if the architect has basic legal knowledge.

    1. After clearing class 10 exams, candidates can apply for an engineering diploma.
    2. Higher Secondary (10+2) is the minimum requirement for other diploma courses.
  • For B.Arch.:
  1. Candidates must have 50% aggregate marks in board exams and must have completed class 12 with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
  2. Many colleges also require students to clear architecture exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NATA.
  • For P.G. and Doctoral Degrees:
  1. For these courses, candidates must complete their Bachelor in Architecture.
  2. Candidates are required to pass P.G. entrance exams like GATE and CEED.
