Overview:

The UCD Executive MBA program intends to produce Global leaders. The program is diverse in all aspects, not just the classrooms or your peers but the faculty of this program is selected from all over the world, bringing together an outstanding team of experts, who deliver their best to the participants. Moreover, the program offers its participants to travel abroad not just once but thrice throughout the program.

The participants of this program are delivered education through practical learning throughout the curriculum. You will be engaged in case studies business simulations and international consultancy through practical functioning. Additionally, the major capstone project assigns every participant with a real-world business problem of an organization and you will be expected to come up with an effective solution to this problem.

The program equips you with analytical skills, problem-solving strategies as well as communication skills which you can demonstrate while mastering real-life challenges and growing as a leader.

The leadership development program at the UCD Executive MBA empowers you to become a self-aware, effective, and insightful leader. It helps the participants to communicate effectively and understand their motivations + behaviour better which eventually helps them understand the needs of society. Program Curriculum:

The UCD Executive MBA program assists the participants to carve on their prior business experiences and acquire practical skills in finance, strategy, marketing, economics, accounting, human resources, and leadership among supplementary domains.

The programs span 2 years consisting of 12 core modules with 4 electives, one major project, and the opportunity to grab modules in any location across the globe. The participants usually opt for electives in the second semester of the second year + the summer term. Intending to allow the participants to enrich their learning, we have added an optional elective in the first year recently. The list of electives for the UCD Executive MBA program gets updated frequently according to the feedback received from the participants and the new areas discovered.

Admissions:

The UCD Executive MBA program is the only Irish MBA program that holds a ‘triple crown’ accreditation (from EQUIS, AMBA, AACSB) and thus, attracts applicants from an international innovative and diverse association of students, who have a wide range of professional experience.

Please Note: The Smurfit School does not guarantee admission to the UCD Executive MBA program even if you fall under the eligibility criteria and complete the admission norms as they prefer intense selection. The program uses a holistic approach to evaluate the applications and find a perfect fit for the program.

Eligibility Requirements:

Consider the following checklist while applying to the UCD Executive MBA program:

  • An undergraduate degree from a renowned university or an equivalent in professional work experience from an authorized organization.
  • The participant must hold a minimum of 3 years of full-time professional work experience. You are requested not to include internships, part-time jobs, or any additional side work.
  • GMAT: the participant must score at least 520 or above on the Graduate Management Admission Test to be eligible for this program.
  • GMAC Executive Assessment: the participant must hold a minimum of 149 above in Executive Assessment.
  • English proficiency: the participant must provide evidence of English language proficiency if the native language of the participant is not English or the primary language of conduct in their University of Higher Education was not English. The applicant needs to score a considerable score in one of the following English tests:
    • IELTS: 7.0 or above
    • TOEFL: 100 or above
  • Application Fee: a non-refundable application fee of €50 is to be submitted with the application.

Application Requirements:

The participant must attach the following documents to the online application for the UCD Executive MBA program:

  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • GMAT test report
  • IELTS/TOEFL test reports (only if applicable)
  • Official transcripts of all the universities or Institutions attended for higher education.
  • Recommendation forms: Two officially complete a recommendation form from the applicant’s current supervisor or employer to be submitted with the application form.

INTERVIEWS:

Once the final assessment of applications for the UCD Executive MBA program is done, the applicants whose applications are shortlisted will be sent an invite for an interview. International students will be invited to an online interview via Skype.

Fees and finance:

The total tuition fees for the UCD Executive MBA program are €15,950. The participants are supposed to pay the fees per year over three instalments.
