Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements
The first step to applying for any MBA school is to know about its requirements and eligibility criteria. Let us discuss the here in detail:
1) A Bachelor’s degree of 3 or 4 years with at least a B+ grade. Applications of professionals who have already completed an MBA program will not be accepted.
2) One of the below mentioned two things is required –
a) A minimum GMAT score of 550. Also, a minimum of 50th percentile in the quantitative and verbal sections is required. However, if you want to have an edge over other applicants, a GMAT score of 650 is considered to be good.
b) A minimum GRE score of 155 on both the quantitative and verbal sections is required. However, a score of more than 320 is considered to be good for applying here.
3) For the English language proficiency test, one out of the below-mentioned criteria should meet:
a) TOEFL – 100, Print: 600, Computer: 250.
b) IELTS – overall academic score of 7.0
c) PTE – Academic score – 70
d) Canadian Academic English Language Test – 70 overall band
e) CAEL Online – 70 overall band
4) A minimum work experience of 2 years is required to apply. This should be full-time employment after the completion of graduation. Although 2 years is the minimum requirement to apply, to have an edge over others, 3-5 years of work experience is considered good.
5) 2 references are required. Applicants are required to submit their email addresses through the application. These references should be professional and need to fill out the online reference form.
Course Fee
The tuition fee for the UBC Sauder MBA Program is payable in 6 installments over the entire duration of the course. A non-refundable amount of CAD 5000 needs to be paid when a student receives the offer of admission. The tuition fee for Canadian citizens and permanent citizens of Canada is CAD 49,419. Other than this, there are other fees like the student fee, MBA student building fee, MBA society fee, and textbooks, course fee and, supplies fee. The estimated total amount becomes CAD 57,019. For international students, the total fee that needs to be paid is CAD 91,363 including all the costs mentioned above. These figures do not include living costs.
Scholarships
Although the fee for MBA Programs is high, there are many opportunities for receiving scholarships, awards, and other kinds of financial help. Entrance scholarships are awarded to 35-45% of students in every class based on their achievements, work experience, etc. To avail of the benefits of different scholarships, there are deadlines before which students need to apply. Another important thing to know is how to apply for the UBC Sauder MBA Program. You need to know the application deadlines and steps to follow to make your application complete and impressive. Applications for the UBC Sauder MBA Program are accepted on a rolling basis. It is recommended to apply as early as possible, especially for international students. The final application deadline for Canadian students is September whereas this deadline for international students is by mid-August. One needs to apply online and must review all the requirements of the application beforehand. An application fee of CAD 145.75 needs to be paid which is non-refundable.
The next step is to upload all the necessary documents for which the deadline is November. Applications start getting reviewed only after the submission of all the documents.
