Tepper School MBA Program is offered by the Business School of Carnegie Mellon University. It is a private business school situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The first term of the first year begins with core courses. Students can customize their MBA programs by taking electives from the second term onwards, along with the required core subjects. Some of the core subjects include Probability & statistics, corporate strategy, Ethics & leadership, Marketing management, Managerial economics, Operation management, etc. As a Tepper MBA student, you can customize your degree by selecting concentrations based on your area of interest.
Students are required to complete one concentration, but most of the students pursue three or more. The options include working alongside corporations, participating in a strategic management exercise, or studying abroad.
The global study capstone offers MBA students the opportunity to gain a broader perspective on global business through a four-week study abroad course. Students may choose between programs in Hong Kong and mainland China or Germany. Academic Requirement:
The applicant must hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline. Although there is no minimum graduate GPA required to apply for the Tepper School MBA Program, a GPA of 3 or higher will give you an edge during the application evaluation process.
Professional Experience:
The school looks for at least two years of full-time post-graduation work experience. For the batch of 2021, students have an average of 5.7 years of work experience. The middle 80% range is 3 to 8.3 years of experience. The school generally does not admit applicants with less than one year of work experience.
Standardized Tests:
The school accepts both GMAT and GRE scores for the MBA program. However, it prefers GMAT over GRE. For the class of 2021, the median GMAT score is 700, with a range (middle 80%) of 640-730. Additionally, applicants who do not have English as their mother tongue or who have not completed their last education entirely in English are required to take English proficiency tests like TOEFL & IELTS. The minimum score requirement is 102 for TOEFL (Internet-based) and 7.5 for IELTS.

Students have the option of opting out health insurance costs if they already have existing coverage.

Interview
Following the submission of the application, you may be invited for the interview. It takes place on-campus or via Skype. However, the school prefers the candidates to appear for the interview on-campus, if possible. The interview is conducted by the members of the MBA admissions team and consists of behavioral questions. They are particularly interested in learning about your skills, perspective on teamwork, leadership, success, & failure.
