Course Curriculum

Scheller School MBA program is a 22-month full-time program in which there are two semesters in each year with a summer internship in between. In the fall semester of the first year, there are 9 mandatory courses. Some of them are Financial and Managerial Accounting, Managerial Economics, Operations Management, etc.

In the spring semester, there are 2 core courses and 3 elective courses that can be chosen by the students as per their interests. Similarly, in the fall semester of the second year, there are 2 core courses and 3 elective courses. In the spring semester of the final year, all the 4 courses are electives.

Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements

Knowing the eligibility criteria and entry requirements are the first things to do before thinking about applying to any school. In the Scheller School MBA program, there are many criteria that need to be taken into consideration. These have been discussed here:

1) A minimum full-time work experience of 2-3 years before the start of the Scheller School MBA program

2) A Bachelor’s degree in any area with an average undergraduate GPA – 2.7-3.8 (average 3.3)

3) Average GMAT Score – 681and GMAT 80% range – 620-720

4) GRE Verbal Average – 152-163 (average 160)

5) GRE Quantitative Average – 151-167 (average 158)

Course Fee

Tuition fee for resident students is $29,508 and $40,752 for non-residents. The mandatory fee is $2,024. Other cost-related estimates are –

Books and supplies – $800

Housing – $9,658

Meal plan – $5,172

Miscellaneous costs – $3,200

Scholarships

All the applicants are considered for funding automatically. Since the majority of the funding is awarded by rounds 1 and 2 of the application, it is recommended to apply to the Scheller School MBA program as early as possible. They award assistantships of value up to $93,000 to exceptional students. They also award fellowships based on excellent academic achievements and leadership skills. There are different criteria for different scholarships, some of which are being discussed below –

1) Godbold Family Foundation Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to candidates fulfilling all the requirements. Its value is 100% of the financial need.

2) Provost Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to 40 first-year students who have exceptional academic achievements. No special application is required for this. This scholarship is for up to 8 semesters. Its amount is the non-resident part of the tuition.

3) Scheller College of Business Dean’s and Faculty Merit Scholarships – These scholarships are awarded to deserving students of the business program.

4) National Merit and National Achievement Scholarships – The value of these scholarships range from $500 to $2,000 per academic year. This depends on the financial need of the candidate.

Placement Statistics

The statistics related to the employment of the Scheller School MBA program are one of the best in the region. 96% of the students got placed before 3 months of the completion of their degree. The hired students in 2019 had an average salary of $117,492 with an average signing bonus of $28,202.

How to Apply

Before starting to apply to the Scheller School MBA program, there are these application deadlines that one must go through. They have 5 rounds for admissions –

1) Round 1 – The deadline for the application is in October. Virtual interviews are conducted in late October and the beginning of November. The notification date for decisions of this round is in late November. And the deposit deadline is in December.

2) Round 2 – The deadline for the application is in December. Virtual interviews are conducted in January. The notification date for decisions of this round is in February. And the deposit deadline is in March.

3) Round 3 – The deadline for the application is in February. Virtual interviews are conducted in February. The notification date for decisions of this round is in March. And the deposit deadline is in April.

4) Round 4 – The deadline for the application is in April. Virtual interviews are conducted in April. The notification date for decisions of this round is in May. And the deposit deadline is in May.

5) Round 5 – The deadline for the application is in June. Virtual interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. The deposit deadline is two weeks after notification.

Candidates are required to complete their application forms and submit them through their online application by creating a username and password. All the required documents discussed above need to be uploaded too.

The Admissions Committee believes that the required essays address issues that help us learn about you and understand your candidacy for the MBA program; however, you may provide us with any additional information pertinent to your admission that has not been previously covered in the rest of the application. Feel free to discuss any unique aspects of your candidacy or any perceived weaknesses.  4,000 character maximum (including spaces).

After the above-mentioned steps, if a candidate has been selected for the interview process, he/she is encouraged to do an on-campus interview. However, the interview can be conducted telephonically or through Skype.
