Course Curriculum

The Michael Smurfit School MBA program is a 12-month long course. It is divided into three semesters – autumn, spring and summer. The autumn semester has the foundation week in which an introduction to different areas like Marketing, Finance, etc. is given. After the foundation week, some courses like Financial Reporting, Leadership & Organisational Behaviour, Business Economics and option modules are covered.

This is followed by the spring semester in which courses like Financial Statement Analysis, Business & Society, Management Accounting and option modules are covered. After this, in the summer semester, more courses are covered along with occasional option modules.

Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements

3) A minimum GMAT score of 600. Although the average GMAT score of their students is 646. GMAC Executive Assessment – score of 149 and above is needed.

Course Fee

The entire course fee of the Michael Smurfit School MBA program is €34,500, which can be paid in three instalments in September, January and May. The other costs related to the program are –

Scholarships

1) MBA Excellence Scholarships – They are awarded to 2 students which cover 50% of the tuition fee.

2) Aspire Scholarships – A separate scholarship application form needs to be filled to avail this award. The amount of this scholarship is 50% tuition fees.

3) Image MBA Scholarship – This covers up to 100% tuition fee for one deserving female candidate.

4) MBA Entrepreneurial Scholarship – It is awarded to the candidate who exemplifies creativity in business and covers up to 50% of the tuition fee.

After applying online and submitting all the documents online, an interview request is sent to suitable applicants. This interview is either in-person or through Skype or phone. Selected applicants will be notified via email.
