Course Structure
The HEC Paris MIM program has a dual phase curriculum. The first phase or M1 phase that starts in September is called the core phase. It includes core courses as well as elective courses along with a FACT program. This is followed by the second phase or M2 phase. This is the specialization phase. This includes the in-depth study on a preferred area, along with an optional certificate as well as a research paper.
Application Requirements
If you are thinking about applying to the HEC Paris MIM program, the most important thing to know is all the requirements for the online application of the school. 1) A bachelor’s degree in any field with 180 ECTS. The degree should be of at least 3 years.

Placement Statistics
Students are given opportunities to attend job fairs on campus. There were 5 job fairs in the last program. The placement stats of the HEC Paris MIM program are quite impressive. 99% of the students got placed within 3 months of the completion of the program with an average starting salary of €66,000. This number showed an increase to around €107,000 after three years. 8% of the graduate students launched their own companies and have become entrepreneurs.
Course Fee
Once admissions are granted, students are required to submit a non-refundable fee of €5000. This is later deducted from the total tuition fee. The total fee of the HEC Paris MIM program is € 41,700.
The total tuition fee of M1 is €20,850. The components of this fee are as follows –
a) Academic fee – €18,450
b) Student service fee – €1,600
c) Administrative fee – €800
The tuition fee for the M2 or optional gap year remains the same as stated above. For students opting for the gap year, the total tuition fee for M2 after the gap year is €2,400 which comprises a student fee of €1,600 and an administrative fee of €800.
In addition to this, the living costs are around €1,000 for every month that covers rent, food, mandatory insurances, etc.
Scholarships
There are different scholarships available for the students of the HEC Paris MIM program. There are different eligibility criteria and application procedures for all the scholarships. The scholarship amount is deducted from the tuition fee. Some of them are mentioned below –
1) HEC Scholarships – This is awarded on the basis of academic performance, the final results of the selection interview and many other factors of the application like the score in GMAT/GRE, etc.
2) The Eiffel Excellence Scholarships – The amount of this scholarship is €1181 for every month. One international return ticket, social security and cultural activities are also covered under this scholarship.
3) 30% Club Scholarship – The amount of this scholarship is €15,000.
How to Apply
Before making an application, it is important to check the application deadlines for different rounds of admission. There are 2 ways of applying to the HEC Paris MIM Program. The first way is to apply directly to the HEC and the other way is to apply through “Join a School in France”. There are different application deadlines for both.
For applying directly –
For some pre-selected Chinese universities, the applications need to be submitted at the beginning of October. Admissibility results come by the beginning of October and the admission results are out by the middle of October.
Round 1 – The application deadline date for round 1 is in the third week of October. The admissibility results come by mid-November and the admission results come by the end of November.
Round 2 – The application deadline date for round 2 is in the first week of January. The admissibility results come by the end of January and the admission results come by the end of February.
Round 3 – The application deadline date for round 3 is in the first week of March. The admissibility results come by the end of March and the admission results come by the end of April.
Round 4 – The application deadline date for round 4 is at the end of April. The admissibility results come by the end of May and the admission results come by the first or second week of June.
The application fee for applying directly to the HEC Paris MIM program is €110.
For applying through the Join a School in France –
Round 1 – The application deadline date for round 1 is in the first week of October. The admissibility results come by mid-October and the admission results come by the end of November.
Round 2 – The application deadline date for round 2 is in the first week of January. The admissibility results come by the beginning of February and the admission results come by the beginning of March.
Round 3 – The application deadline date for round 3 is in the first week of March. The admissibility results come by the end of March and the admission results come by the end of April.
Round 4 – The application deadline date for round 4 is in mid-April. The admissibility results come by the mid of May and the admission results come by the mid of June.
The application fee for applying to the HEC Paris MIM program through Join a School in France is €190.
After the evaluation of the application, invitations to interviews are sent to some applicants. It lasts around 25-30 minutes. For the applicants who applied directly to the HEC, applicants can opt for either an on-campus interview or through Skype. For applicants who applied through Join a School in France, an interview needs to be conducted at one of their centres. They have 80 centres across the world.
