Program Description:
HHL Leipzig School MIM program’s priority is the establishment of your career. The core of this program is your aspirations, it is you who decide everything from content to practical work experience. All credit goes to HHL’s Master in Management program which is organized incredibly flexible for students to modify it according to their ideals. The authority to decide the span of the program lies in the hands of students, whether they want it for 21 or 24 months. Moreover, we allow you to mould your practical experience on your own by allowing you to decide where the program should lay emphasis, based on your personal plus professional interests.
Program structure:
HHL Leipzig School MIM full-time Master in Management program is allocated into four categories which are specifically designed to prepare and equip visionary, ethical, and victorious future entrepreneurs or business managers. The four categories are the Welcome weeks, the General Management Essentials, the General Management competencies, and General Management Deep Dives.
- Welcome weeks: The initial weeks where your exploration at HHL begins.
- The General Management Essentials: In this section, the students are introduced to key qualifications needed under the future in the following columns:
- Business Administration and Economics
- Leadership and reflection
- Entrepreneurship and Disruption.
- The General Management Competencies: This section provides adequate practical and international experience under the following headings:
- Field Project
- Practical depending
- International experience
- General Management Deep-Dives: To modify your career program according to your interests HHL allows you to opt 2 subjects from the 4 possible ones, namely:
- Strategic Management
- Financial Decision Making
- Transformation Management
- Digital Entrepreneurship
Furthermore, it delivers a great opportunity of selecting 2 more subjects from the list mentioned below:
- One or two courses from not selected Deep-Dives
- Extra courses from a term abroad
- International Study Trip
- Open course, e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility
Application deadlines:
The application process at HHL Leipzig School MIM takes place in 6 official rounds and we provide you with the opportunity to choosing the round you wish to participate in. However, the final application deadlines are:
For EU candidates, the application deadlines are June 20 and for non-EU candidates who will possibly need a visa is May 31.
Please note: We recommend you submit your application at your earliest comfort due to our restricted accommodation.
Admission process:
Candidates at HHL Leipzig School MIM are provided with a choice of two application processes namely, on-campus admission day test and virtual admission process.
The application process takes place in 6 rounds continuing from November to May in which Individual Virtual Interviews are conducted.
ON-CAMPUS ADMISSION TEST DAY:
HHL Leipzig School MIM is proud of its enhanced admission processes which include on-campus Admission Test days. HHL Leipzig School MIM offers a great opportunity to the applicants during the application process in which they not only get a chance to have an interview with the HHL professor but also have the chance to represent themselves to our Alumni in an additional interview and strengthen their network with HHL Leipzig School MIM’s partners.
Moreover, we conduct a networking event where the applicants are allowed to meet HHL Leipzig School MIM’s current students and get to know more about the HHL Leipzig School MIM campus and explore the city of Leipzig. Plus you get a chance to discover more about the new digital campus.
The admission test day:
The on-campus admission test day is conducted in three rounds:
- First: Interview with an HHL professor for about 20 minutes.
- Second: Interview with one of HHL’s alumni for about 20 minutes.
- Third: A five to seven minutes presentation and discussion.
The focus of the interview is on the following aptitudes:
- Problem-solving abilities
- Personality
- Leadership potentials
VIRTUAL ADMISSION PROCESS:
Consisting of two parts the virtual admission process at HHL Leipzig School MIM usually lasts for an hour and have the following procedure:
- Personal interview (30-minutes approx.): During the personal interview the professors focus on the following aptitudes:
- Problem-solving abilities
- Personality
- Leadership potential.
- Presentation (20 minutes) + Discussion (10 minutes):
For the presentation, you will receive a topic two days before the interview.
Admission Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any business-oriented program is compulsory. (Minimum marks should be 180 with at least 40-60 in business-based subjects)
- GPA: The test results should be above average for both high school and bachelor’s degree proving your academic excellence.
- GMAT/GRE:>600
- TOEFL:>90
- IELTS:>7.0
- A bachelor’s degree completed in English.
- A professional experience: Professional experience of a minimum of 3-months or more by the beginning of the program.

- A copy of your high school reports.
- A copy of your bachelor’s reports or an authorized current transcript.
- Resume or CV (completely updated)
- A motivation letter asserting why should be approved at HHL’s Masters’s program.
- LOR or letter of recommendation from recognized or professional sources.

Application Fee:
Candidates are to pay application fees of EUR 100 by bank transfer, and it will be accepted after the start of the program.
Fees/Finance:
The total payable tuition fees for HHL’s MIM program is EUR 27,000 which includes all tuition charges, examination charges as well as the charges for one term abroad scheme at one of our partner universities.
