Sungkyunkwan University MBA Program has been ranked as the number 1 institute in Korea and 9 in Asia. It is an AACSB accredited school. Its rank has been under 50 in the world for many years now. Course Curriculum

The Sungkyunkwan University MBA program is an 18-month full-time program. It starts in August every year. The fall semester consists of core courses and has 13.5 credits. The core courses include subjects like Managerial Economics, Global Business Environment, etc. The spring and summer semesters have elective courses too along with core courses. It has 19.5 credits. Some of the elective courses that are offered at the Sungkyunkwan University MBA program are Asset Management, Business Analytics, Corporate Finance, etc.

The next fall semester has three options to choose from –

a) Elective courses

b) Study abroad program

c) Dual degree program

Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements

Following are the requirements for admission into the SungkyunkwanUniversity MBA program –

1) Certificate of graduation and academic transcripts

2) Test score of either one of these English exams – TOEFL, TOEIC, TOEIC Speaking, OPIc, TEPS and IELTS

TOEFL internet based score should be greater than 95. Overall IELTS score should be greater than 7.

3) Current Resume

4) One optional requirement is of Future Leader Scholarship Application

5) 2 recommendation letters

Some documents are required to be submitted on the day of the interview. These are –

1) Original certificate of graduation for –

a) Korean universities – Certificate in Korean

b) Overseas universities – Certificate in English

c) Chinese universities – Certificate in English and one of the a and b documents.

2) Transcripts

Optional documents that can be submitted are –

1) Certificate of Employment (for applicants with work experience)

2) GMAT/GRE Score

Course Fee

This is an important detail that must be checked before applying to any school. The tuition of the first and third semesters for the Sungkyunkwan University MBA program is KRW 14,800,000 each. For the second semester, it is KRW 20,400,000. This makes a total tuition fee of KRW 50,000,000. Besides this, there is an entrance fee of KRW 1,300,000. Also, there are additional costs related to course packages, student or alumni union fees, overseas field trip fees, etc.

Scholarships

There are EDHEC scholarships that are awarded based on the exceptional academic and other achievements of the students. Some of them are –

1) Excellence Scholarship – Its value is around 30% of the tuition fee

2) Distinction Scholarship – Its value is around 20% of the tuition fee

3) Foundation Scholarship – Its value is around 15% of the tuition fee

4) Eiffel Scholarship – Its deadline  is December 1 of every year

Placement Statistics

Being one of the best programs offered in Korea, the Sungkyunkwan University MBA Program has a good employment report. 88% of the total students got hired within three months of completion of the program. Most of the students got a 100% increase in their salaries after completing this program. How to Apply

Before applying to the Sungkyunkwan University MBA program, one must check all the deadlines for the different rounds of admissions and then, prepare accordingly. For the next admissions, the details of deadlines and admissions are as follows –

1) Round 1 – The deadline to submit your application is October 19 – December 18. The documents would be evaluated between January 4 – January 6 and the admission interview would be scheduled between January 11 – January 13. The announcement of the admission would be complete by January 15 and the payment would be required to be deposited between January 15 – January 22.

2) Round 2 – The deadline to submit your application is December 21 – February 19. The documents would be evaluated between February 22 – February 24 and the admission interview would be scheduled between March 2 – March 5. The announcement of the admission would be complete by March 15 and the payment would be required to be deposited between March 15 – March 19.

3) Round 3 – The deadline to submit your application is February 22 – April 19. The documents would be evaluated between April 21 – April 23 and the admission interview would be scheduled between April 26 – April 30. The announcement of the admission would be complete by May 14 and the payment would be required to be deposited between May 14 – May 21.

4) Round 4 – The deadline to submit your application is April 21 – June 18. The documents would be evaluated between June 21 – June 23 and the admission interview would be scheduled between June 28 – July 2. The announcement of the admission would be complete by July 7 and the payment would be required to be deposited between July 6 – July 9.

The application fee for applying to the Sungkyunkwan University MBA program is KRW 100,000.

After the completion of the online application along with the required documents, candidates are called for an interview which lasts around 20 minutes and is conducted in English. After that, the final decision about the admissions in the Sungkyunkwan University MBA program is taken.
