Course Curriculum

The IE Business School MBA program begins with the pre-program which includes basic knowledge of areas like accounting, finance, ethics, etc. Then, there is a core period of 6 months in which there are two terms and the subjects include Marketing Management, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Data Analytics for Managers, Managerial Economics, Strategy, Operations, etc. This six-month period is followed by a 1-month lab period in which students can choose among the options of social impact lab, business lab, tech lab, start-up lab, or an internship. After this, there is a 4-month period in which students can choose their elective courses. After the completion of the course curriculum, there is an option to go for international exchange or an internship for the next 6 months.

Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements

4) For non-native English applicants, minimum score required for different exams are –

TOEFL – minimum score of 100

Course Fee

Before applying to any school, it is important to check the course fee and other related expenses and think about funding options for the program. The tuition fee is €72,200 for the academic year 2020-2021. Their payment plans give an option to pay the total fee in 7 installments.

Scholarships

There are different types of scholarships that can help students fund their education. Candidates need to apply for scholarships within 48 hours of submitting their admission applications. Before applying to the scholarships, it is important to check which ones fit the applicants’ profile the best. The financial aid office can help with any of the queries of the applicants. Some of these scholarships are –

1) IE Business School Dean’s Award – 2 scholarships of up to 50% of the total tuition are awarded per intake every year.

2) IE Scholarship – The amount of this scholarship depends on various factors like available funds, the profile of the candidate, etc. These are usually awarded to those students who are finding it difficult to fund the program.

3) IE Scholarship for Diversity – The value of this is up to 30% of the tuition fee and is awarded on the basis of excellence in academics and other areas.

4) IE Collaboration Award – This covers up to 40% of the tuition fee.

5) IE High Achievers Scholarship – This also covers up to 40% of the tuition fee.

6) IE Scholarship for Entrepreneurship – This covers up to 30% of the tuition fee.

7) IE Scholarship for Technology & Innovation – This also covers up to 30% of the tuition fee.

There are many other scholarships covering a substantial amount of fee, the details of which can be checked while applying for the scholarships. Other than these, there are some awards that need no application for scholarships like IE High Potential Award. Its value can differ on the basis of applicants’ strengths.

Placement Statistics

The placement report of the IE Business School MBA program is quite encouraging. Within 3 months of graduation, 92% of the students who were seeking jobs got placed. 51% of them could change their locations after MBA. The mean salary of the placed students was €83,152 and the mean of other compensation was €32,683. How to Apply

Applying to the IE Business School MBA program requires following the steps described below –

1) The first one is to fill the online application form on the website of the school. Along with this, candidates should upload all the necessary documents like a resume, references, transcripts, etc. The details of these have been discussed in the earlier sections.

2) An application fee of €150 needs to be paid online. After doing this, the applicant will receive a link for answering three live questions. Two of them need to be submitted in video format and one in written format. One of the questions that had been asked was –

3) The third step is an interview with an Associate Director of the team that takes care of the admissions to the IE Business School MBA program. This interview could be face-to-face or through Skype.
