Course Curriculum
The Smith School MBA program starts in January with an overview of business fundamentals. This is accompanied by an Integrated Team Project. All of this happens in the first six months. The business fundamentals include many areas like Business Analytics, Business and Corporate Strategy, Financial Accounting, and many others. After the completion of the first six months, students are required to choose their elective courses according to their interests. Some of them are Advanced Portfolio Management, Analytical Decision Making, Digital Execution, Consumer-Focused Marketing, etc.
Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements
Before applying to the Smith School MBA program, it is important to make sure that you meet all the eligibility criteria and have all the necessary documents. The following things need to be submitted along with the application form:
1) Official transcripts of the undergraduate degree
2) GMAT/GRE Score – Average GMAT Score of 650 is considered good.
3) English proficiency tests: Either one of them –
TOEFL iBT – Overall score of 100, with a minimum of 22 on speaking and writing.
IELTS score of 7.0.

6) Two professional references

Course Fee
The course fee differs for domestic and international students. At the time of enrolment in the Smith School MBA program, an initial deposit needs to be made after which the total fee needs to be paid in three installments. The initial deposit is of CAD 6,000 for both domestic and international students that need to be paid at the time of acceptance.
The first installment for domestic and international students is CAD 21,666 and CAD 27,666, respectively. This needs to be paid by January 10. The second installment for domestic and international students is CAD 27,667 and CAD 33,167, respectively. This needs to be paid by May 1. The third installment for domestic and international students is CAD 27,667 and CAD 33,167, respectively. This needs to be paid by September 1. Other than these installments, student activity fees of approximately CAD 1500 needs to be paid by all the students.
Scholarships
All the applicants who have applied for the Smith School MBA program are automatically considered for scholarships. No separate application needs to be filled for scholarships. General entrance scholarships are awarded to students whose applications are deemed fit by the MBA Scholarship Committee.
The Smith School awards more than 50% of their student’s scholarships ranging from CAD 10,000 to the entire cost of the program. Some of their named scholarships are Dean’s MBA Admission Scholarships, Jim Leech MBA Scholarship, Federau Kreel MBA Scholarship, Liana Tesan Memorial Scholarship, etc.

The Smith School MBA Program has one of the best placement statistics in Canada. 95% of their students received an offer for a job within 3 months of graduation with an average salary of CAD 128,681. How to Apply
The Smith School MBA program has a rolling admission policy which means that the applications are reviewed as they are received. There is no application fee that needs to be paid at the time of applying to the program. Let us now discuss the different steps to be followed for applying to this school.
1) The first step is to complete the online application form. Along with that, transcripts and resume need to be submitted. Within 2-3 business days, the application would be reviewed and an application advisor would contact the applicant to help in the process of strengthening his/her file.
2) The next step is to complete your application file with all the documents mentioned earlier in this article. Two video questions and one written response need to be answered on the KIRA platform. These questions would be asked randomly. An example of one of such questions is –
