John Molson School of Business is one of the well known and popular schools in Canada. It was the fourth school in Canada to be AACSB accredited. The approach of the John Molson MBA program is practical and hands-on. They use case studies to teach how situations arise in the real business world. Course Curriculum

The full-time John Molson MBA Program is a 45-credit course that is completed within 16 months to 2 years. Before the start of the program, all the students are required to take an online “on-ramp” course which helps them in preparation of the program by giving them important tools and quantitative skills. John Molson MBA Program consists of 10 core courses like Financial Reporting for Responsible Decision Making, Marketing Management, Managing People in Organizations, Strategic Managerial Accounting and Control, etc.

In the second part of the program, students need to complete 15 credits by choosing their own elective courses from a wide variety of options available. Some of the elective courses are Finance, Marketing, Management, Data Analytics, etc.

Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements

1) A bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.3. This degree can be in any discipline but should be from a recognized university. The total number of education years should be 16 including this degree.

2) A minimum of 2 years of work experience is required. Although when the students enter the John Molson MBA Program, their average work experience is 6 years.

3) A GMAT score of a minimum 580 is required. Although the average GMAT score of the last class of students has been 635.

4) A TOEFL iBT score of a minimum 95 or IELTS score of at least 7.0 should be there for students whose primary language is not English.

5) Current resume with details about work experience, academics, and other achievements.

8) 3 reference letters need to be submitted by the referees.

Course Fee

The John Molson MBA Program is one of the most affordable programs in North America. For Canadian, Quebec residents, the tuition fee is CAD 6,400. For Canadian, non-Quebec residents, the tuition fee is CAD 14,500. For international students, the total tuition fee is CAD 41,500.

How to Apply

The most important thing while applying to John Molson MBA Program is the application deadlines. These deadlines are different for Canadian students and international students. They are listed here –

For Canadian students and permanent residents –

Fall: Round 1 – March 1

Fall: Round 2 – May 1

Fall: Round 3 – June 1

Winter: October 1 for January entry

For international students –

Fall Term – March 1 for entry in September

Winter Term – June 1 for entry in January

1) There is an online application form that needs to be completed.

2) An application fee of CAD 103.5 needs to be paid with a valid credit card.

3) A statement of purpose needs to be submitted. This should include an applicant’s reason for applying to the program, her/his career goals, and how the program will help in achieving those goals. One should also mention about one’s interests, achievements, challenges faced by her/him and how they were overcome. 4) Names and email addresses of three academic or professional references should be submitted. These three references would be required to fill an assessment form and submit their letters of reference.

5) All the other required documents mentioned in the section of admission requirements need to be uploaded on their website.

6) An email for the interview process would be sent to candidates. This will contain all the details of the video interview process.

The interview process plays a major role in the selection of an applicant. This should be prepared for diligently and strategically. The whole journey is quite long but can be easily covered with proper planning and execution.
